Scouting Texas Cotton for Bollworms This 2019 video by Kate Harrell and David Otradovsky in Wharton County demonstrates both the terminal inspection method and whole plant inspection method for scouting Texas cotton for bollworms. It also discusses the bollworm egg threshold that is used in areas where there is resistance to Bt cotton. The video does not discuss the “larvae per acre” method of making treatment decisions, as this method is only commonly used on the Texas High Plains.
